The FC Barcelona presented this past Wednesday the telematic referendum on the financing of the ‘Espai Barça’ and this was one of the many topics addressed by the club president, Joan Laporta, in this Friday’s interview on TV3’s ‘Els Matins’. The maximum Barça president, who did not hide that Goldman Sachs is the favorite to finance the 1,500 million euros that the new ‘Espai Barça’ will cost, he also confirmed that there is already several specific proposals for the ‘title rights’ of the future new Camp Nou, that is to say to put a commercial name to the Estadi, and in fact, he assured that “at least there are five offers on the table “and that the goal is to achieve”between 30 and 40 million per season“.
In this sense, Laporta did not hide his ambition: “We want to get the most out and they are usually contracts that are made by 5, 10 or 20 years too tight. We negotiate to try to make the shortest possible because we believe that it is the best “, to avoid that the possible figures are out of date.
Laporta also spoke about another key issue in terms of sponsorships, such as the sponsor of the shirt: “We hope to close it before the end of the year or early next year because Nike needs time to make the jerseys.” He did not rule out the continuity of Rakuten as main sponsor “since there is a good relationship, but there are other companies that are offering more money and the quantity is important. ”
