The members of the Consultation Board raffled for the Espai Barça referendum

The draw for the composition of the Consultation Board on financing of the Espai Barça It took place yesterday in the Ricard Maxenchs press room at the Camp Nou. The first telematic referendum to authorize the club to sign an agreement for a maximum value of 1,500 million euros is scheduled for Sunday, December 19. President Joan Laporta, the CEO Ferran Reverter and the director of Systems and Digital Transformation of the club, Juan Manuel Tabero, they will explain all the details on Wednesday (11am).

To guarantee the transparency of the process, this Consultation Board is constituted, which will be made up of five partners who appear in the census and who will be designated from the result established by this draw, made before the notary Gerard Conesa, and which was attended the secretary of the Board of Directors, Josep Cubells, the Catalan Ombudsman, Joan Manuel Trayter, and the director of the Social Area, Josep Ignasi Macià.

The election was carried out by the computerized procedure that regulates article 26.5 of the Statutes, and 130 numbers were extracted. The first five correspond to the partners appointed as regular members of the Consultation Board, with the rest remaining as alternates in order of extraction.

The Consultation Board will ensure the proper functioning of the referendum, and will be in charge of supervising and controlling the entire process until voting day.

Josep Cubells, Secretary of the Board of Directors, he hopes that there will be a great involvement of the social mass: “We are hopeful that there will be maximum participation and that the partner will give his voice in the project that is presented.”

Over the next few days, the club will contact the members by telephone, following the order of withdrawal that has been defined today, until the five seats on the Board are covered, and the necessary checks will be carried out to ensure that the elected members comply with the necessary requirements before making the definitive communication of the designation. The conditions for being a member of these electoral bodies are: being of legal age, not legally incapacitated, having a minimum of one year as a member, not having membership suspended and being included in the current electoral roll.

The date for the constitution of the Board of Consultation will be next Wednesday, December 1.
