Rangnick wants to bring Haaland

The new Manchester United coach is said to be keen to bring Erling Haaland in, in particular benefiting from his relationship with his father.

While he has not yet debuted on the bench Manchester United and that he will leave his coaching position at the end of the season, Ralf Rangnick could try a big blow by bringing in Erling Haaland on the Old Trafford side.

In any case, this is what announces Bild. The German daily reports that Rangnick took part in the arrival of the Norwegian international (15 caps, 12 goals) to Salzburg in 2019. The German coach would have remained close to Alf-Inge Rasdal Håland, father of the striker of Dortmund. He would therefore like to use his good relationship with the Haaland clan to attract the 21-year-old to the Red Devils.

If the Norwegian colossus was rather announced on the side of the rival Manchester city (where his father played) or at real Madrid, the arrival of the former coach of Leipzig among the Red Devils could weigh in the balance. Although financially the Mancuniens can compete with their competitors, the sporting situation of the club does not play in their favor.

United are currently 8th in the Premier League and are ten points off the podium. If they want to bring in Haaland, they will have to at least qualify for the Champions League next season.
