French goalkeeper targeted by Man Utd

A Manchester United envoy came to see Illan Meslier play this week, during Leeds’ rout at the Etihad Stadium.

Illan Meslier caught the eye of Manchester United. According to the Daily Mail, it is said in the middle of the recruiters that the Red Devils consider the French goalkeeper of Leeds as the best player in his post in England.

Man Utd are pretty well endowed in goalkeepers, with David De Gea, Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton, but Henderson are reportedly keen to leave for his chance as No.1. Consequence or not, the recruiter of the goalkeepers of Mancuniens, Tony Coton, made the short trip to the Etihad Stadium to see Meslier play.

Unfortunately, the evening was difficult for the former Lorientais, since Leeds suffered a rout against Manchester City (7-0). Meslier conceded goals from Foden (8th), Grealish (13th), De Bruyne (32nd, 62nd), Mahrez (49th), Stones (74th) and Aké (78th).

Selected 7 times in the French hopefuls team, Meslier, 21, is considered one of the most promising French goalkeepers. He is currently playing his third season under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds.
