Eriksen and Inter, it’s over

Inter Milan announced on Friday the termination of Christian Eriksen’s contract, by mutual consent. The Dane, victim of a heart attack during the Euro, could bounce back in his country.
Christian Eriksen and Inter Milan, it is well and truly over. The Italian club confirmed on Friday the termination of the Danish international’s contract, by mutual agreement between the two parties. Arrived in Lombardy in January 2020, Eriksen was still under contract until 2024 with the Nerazzurri but, since his cardiac arrest suffered during Euro 2020, he was no longer authorized to play in Serie A.
” Although Inter and Christian are now going their separate ways, the bond will never be broken. The good times, the goals, the victories, those Scudetto celebrations with fans outside of San Siro, all of this will forever remain in the history of the Nerazzurri ”, indicates the Italian club in a press release. Eriksen will have made 60 appearances for Inter, for 8 goals and 3 assists.
This outcome was expected as Eriksen had a pacemaker fitted to regulate his heart rate after his discomfort against Finland. This device is prohibited for top athletes in Italy.
Eriksen has never commented on the possible continuation of his career, he who has not played for six months. He could bounce back in Denmark, in his country, where he would be allowed to play football again. The former Tottenham and Ajax player could return to his training club, Odense.
