Big argument between Xavi and Emery in the tunnel!

The police were forced to intervene to separate the two coaches, close to come to blows.
By Xavi’s own admission, the Barça can be happy to have taken it to Villarreal, Saturday. “We have to be honest, we were a bit lucky. Villarreal did not deserve to lose ”, thus entrusted the new Barcelona coach at the end of the meeting. Joined to the score at the start of the last quarter of an hour after striking the first after returning from the locker room, the Blaugrana had to wait until the last moments of the meeting to force the decision thanks to two goals scored by Memphis Depay (88e) then Philippe Coutinho (90e+4).
But if Villarreal had bad, it is mainly because of the arbitration decisions and in particular of an unblown hand of Gerard Pique. “The referee told me that there was potentially a penalty. I think it is very clear. If he shoots and the ball hits his hand… To see an offside, we spend ten minutes, but to see a penalty, we can spend two minutes. We are the only team that did not get a penalty and Barça are the only team that did not get one against them ”, regretted Pau Torres.
It’s always the same with you
And to believe Sport, the center-back Villarreal was not the only one to rant against the referee. It was the same for his coach, Unai Emery, who after returning to the locker room without bothering to greet his vis-à-vis, also said his way of thinking to the Barça staff, a little too ecstatic to his taste. “They give you gifts”, “it’s always the same with you”, he would have shouted in the corridors. Accusations that were not to the liking of Xavi, who would not have hesitated to answer him, raising the tension a notch. So much so that the police present in the tunnel intervened to prevent the two men from coming to blows.
The tension nonetheless quickly subsided since Unai Emery went to shake hands with his counterpart after the press conference.
